Graduate Automation Engineer

Are you interested in designing production automation systems with state of the art robotics and other automation systems? Our client a leading manufacturing company are currently investing in automation projects throughout their worldwide sites. Due to these projects, they are currently looking for an Engineering graduate. This is an exciting position based near Chester.

The Role
Working collaboratively with automation/control design engineers and production engineering department you will become a key member of the team designing and manufacturing automated production lines for Brother Facilities in the UK and US
Design of control systems, electrical and pneumatic schematics using EPlan software
Design of systems and modules using Sold Edge 3D CAD including the preparation of drawings for in-house manufacture
Programming of Mitsubishi Robots within integrated systems and standalone UR cobots within the production and assembly environments
The set-up of control circuits for linear slides pneumatics, sensor, safety mechanisms
Integrating industry 4.0 technologies to support the development of a smart factory
The commissioning of new in house manufactured automated production lines including set up and support in overseas facilities in Europe and the US
Troubleshoot problems with existing equipment and design/implement solutions

Requirements

Candidates will have a BEng in a mechanical/electronic/mechatronics/robotics (or similar qualification) and have some experience from their course or industrial placement of automated systems. Other essential experience would be programming using C / Perl etc. Candidates with a proactive method to solving problems are invited to apply. If you’re interested in travel this could be for you.
