The Role
Our client is looking to bolster their operations team by hiring a new Engineering Manager.
As the Engineering Manager you will report into the Chief Engineer. You’ll be a key member of the team, managing the engineering resource to ensure that work priorities and schedules are consistently met.
Responsible for ensuring that all services and provisions are undertaken in a cost and time effective manner.
Supporting Production, you will monitor and control the Engineering budget of the department whilst maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and maintaining compliance for cGMP and health and safety.
Other aspects of the role include (but are not limited to) ensuring that the engineering team are provided with appropriate training and development.

Requirements
The nature of the role 100% requires someone with a) pharmaceutical experience b) engineering management experience. You need to have previous experience in the intricacies of manufacturing pharmaceutical products, in accordance with customer requirements, regulatory audits - along with a thorough understanding of cGMP, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and expectations.

You will have excellent leadership and inter-personal skills, coupled with an enthusiastic approach, strong organisational and communication skills.
Candidates must be educated to Degree standard (BSc, MSc, BEng, Meng… or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline and preferably be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards Chartership). You may have worked for similar aseptic manufacturing pharmaceutical companies and have a true passion for the industry.
